INTERVIEW WITH JAZZY D OF MAJIC 12
----------------------------------
Perhaps some dudes out there are
interested in your personal data, so
please introduce yourself, and tell us
your scene career!
First off, my real name is PETER KIS
and I am only 18 years old. I have
brown hair and green eyes! My career
is too simple bcoz I've just bought a
c64 and I started to code on it. I
had made a little demo before I joined
to CHROMANCE! Chromance is still the
number one here in HUNGARY. (on the
C64!) Some month later I've bought an
AMIGA and I started to swap. I have
been a member of Chromance on the
Amiga side too, but you know this
group is unknown and then I decided to
join MAJIC 12 as swapper. Some month
ago I started to code and made a
little INTRO. Have you got it?
There are some rumours in the air
about the root of Majic 12 splitting
up. What's up then? Who is the world
leader?
Well, the main member was ZOZO but he
sold his Amiga and went to England.
By the way, this doesn't mean that
ZOZO left the scene forever! If he
will come back, then we will get back
the leader of Majic 12. Recently, we
are staying without of leader. Please
don't forget this fact that MAJIC 12
HUNGARY is still alive!
Majic 12 is the only hungarian team
with foreign divisions. How does the
organization go?
Hmm, lame question bcoz everybody
know, not hard to organize the
divisions. An example: If I need
something, I just send a letter and I
will get back the wanted stuff like
GFX or Musics. So that's all.
You're starting out as a coder, so
would you please tell us about the
good and bad sides of this job?
The good side, when I finished the
intro or demo and I saw that all of
the codes are working for 100%. No
bugs... etc... The bad side, when
the code has bugs and the whole
programm fucked up. So let's do it
again... shit!
What is the hardest thing to learn for
a beginner?
What? you mean in the coding? I
guess mostly to understand the
Blitter. But this is my own opinion.
As you know my main position is
swapping and not coding!
You're a still active C64 scene
member. What's going on with the good
old machine?
Oh, yeah cool question! I really like
the C64 scene too. The C64 scene is
good but a lot of peoples left, bcoz
they see the C64 will die! Maybe a
strange thing but I started to do
MODEMTRADING on C64 and it seems to be
quite good to Download the 0 day old
releases bcoz I am using in every day!
The demos are also qiute nice but
mainly the demo makers are ripping a
lot of ideas from the Amiga. Don't
forget this machine is very old!
Please compare the C64 and the Amiga
scene!
I guess the Amiga scene is better as
C64 bcoz the Amiga scene has a lot of
talented peoples and the guys are
mostly 18 years old or more! In the
C64 scene, has been lot of young
peoples whose a big lamers and they
just swapping and no more. No too
much from a human.
I tell you a word - you tell me the
first thing that pops up in your mind:
Anarchy: Dan
Hardwired: The Spy
Hungarian scene: Little
Modemtrading: oh yep a lot of chat.
Parties: boring without boozing.
RAW: nice mag from PMC
Melon Dezign: Human target
Techno: every friday! (I am in techno
club on every friday)
Audiomonster: ICE Demo soundtrack
School: oh, some funny thing.
Rank these things in order of
importance in a demo's code:
a. compatibility
b. design
c. to be bug free
d. new routines
e. speed
Or what else is important?
1. c
2. d
3. b
4. a
5. e
of course the Music is very important!
Tell us your opinion on the charts,
what's good or bad!
The good to see the Majic 12 on high
place. The bad to see ABSOLUTE! on
high place. (Just a joke) Ok, the bad
thing is when a I see a shit unknow
group higher then Majic 12.
Write a phylosophic sentence!
If you would have been a normal guy,
then you never swithed on your Amiga.
Hmmm, if you believe in God then you
know Mj12 the best!
I leave some lines for your last
words:
Sorry to have to tell you but you
forgot a very IMPORTANT question.
So, I'll do it, instead of you.
What is your job in MAJIC 12 and
Chromance?
Hm, hard question but ok, I tell you.
I am a cracker, coder, trainer,
swapper and modemtrader on the C64,
and I am a swapper and coder on the
Amiga side. I hope you are satisfied.
Thanks for making this mini interview
possible!
Thank for the INTERVIEW. Greetings go
to my contacts! Merry X-MAS and HAPPY
NEW YEAR... bye!
